The LSKA's Chief Instructor, Sensei Richard Pavšič, has represented Yugoslavia, Slovenia and Great Britain at local, national and international competitions.

He was 15 times the Slovenian National Champion, 3 times Yugoslavian National Champion, and with numerous European & World Championship placings, he has a wealth of competitive and coaching experience to pass on.   

He trained under Japanese Senseis Takashi Tokuhisa and Taiji Kase in Slovenia.

Originally from Ljubljana in Slovenia, he moved to the UK in 1997.

He found a club to continue his training with and has been training here ever since.  He finally realised his ambition in 2010 with the establishment of his own association - the Lancashire Shotokan Karate Academy.
